Swim along and plant a tree in Zambia!

30 August 2024 16:09

This year, the Rapenburg Race is joining forces with Regreener. For each participant, Regreener will plant a tree in Zambia to help combat deforestation. Zambia's Copperbelt is a deforestation hotspot. The Miombo forest in the Copperbelt province has suffered more than anywhere else in Zambia due to intensive mining and charcoal production. Between 2011 and 2021, the region lost 239,000 hectares of trees. The project's goal is to preserve and restore the ecological integrity of forests and landscapes by involving communities in implementing and delivering lasting solutions for climate, nature, and people. By participating in the Rapenburg Race, you not only support people with spinal cord injuries but also contribute to a greener world!
